# Billing Overview

Billing Overview is your business's money hub: what customers owe you, what you owe out, and how income and expenses are trending. This is your own business accounting, separate from your NuForce subscription.

## What you can do here

- **Set a date range.** Use the "From" and "To" date fields to pick the period the income, expenses, and net profit figures cover. The month-to-date snapshot below always shows the current month regardless of this range.
- **Check your month-to-date snapshot.** Four cards show Outstanding (owed to you), Collected (MTD), Payables (you owe), and Paid out (MTD), each in your business's currency. Outstanding shows how many invoices are open, and Payables shows how much is waiting to be reimbursed to your team.
- **Review the period totals.** Income, Expenses, Net Profit, and Reimbursements cards summarize the date range you selected.
- **Read the Income vs Expenses chart.** A bar chart plots income against expenses month by month across your selected range.
- **Check Receivables aging.** A breakdown shows how much of what customers owe you falls in Current (0 to 30 days), 31 to 60 days, 61 to 90 days, and 90-plus days, with a bar for each showing its share of the total. If nothing is outstanding, you'll see a message confirming you're caught up.
- **Check Expenses by kind.** A list breaks down your period's expenses by category, each with its total.
- **Jump to detail pages.** Four cards link out to Invoices (issued to your customers), Payments (money received), Expenses (business spending), and Reimbursements (owed to your team).

## Steps

1. Open Billing from the Business Manager section.
2. Adjust the From and To dates if you want a different period than the default (roughly the last six months).
3. Scan the month-to-date snapshot and period totals for a quick read on your cash position.
4. Check the Income vs Expenses chart and the Receivables aging breakdown to see how collections are trending.
5. Click into Invoices, Payments, Expenses, or Reimbursements for the underlying records.

<!-- REVIEW NOTES (drafting agent could not verify):
  1. The default date range shown by the From/To fields is the first day of the month five months ago through today (roughly a 6-month window); worded generally as 'roughly the last six months' in the Steps section.
  2. Exact help-center paths under Related (/help/billing/invoices, /help/billing/payments, /help/billing/reimbursements) are inferred from the route structure, not confirmed against an existing help-center URL scheme.
  3. Section label 'Business Manager' and title 'Overview' were confirmed via app-sidebar.tsx comments/mapping, not a literal on-page heading (the page's own H1 reads 'Billing').
